Yes, My Darling Daughter!

I’ve gotta be good or mama will scold me
Yes, yes, yes
I asked her and this is what she told me
Yes, yes, yes

Mother, may I go out dancing? Yes, my darling daughter!
Mother, may I try romancing? Yes, my darling daughter!

What if there’s a moon, mama darling, and it’s shining on the water,
Mother, must I keep on dancing? Yes, my darling daughter!

If he wants to kiss, mama darling, when he feels it’s time we ought to, Mother must I let him kiss me? Yes, my darling daughter!

What if he’ll propose, mama darling, when the night is growing shorter? Mother, what should be my answer? Yes, my darling daughter!

Oh mama, oh mama, oh mama, oh mama

What if he should insist on one embrace, mama,
How can I keep him in his place
If his manner becomes a shade improper?
Tell him that your heart belongs to papa

Mother, will it be exciting? Yes, my darling daughter
Mother, do I look inviting? Yes, my darling daughter
If he holds me tight, mama darling, and my knees just turn to water
Mama must I keep on dancing? Yes, my darling daughter
What if he’ll persist, mama darling, doing things he hadn’t oughta
Mama, what should be my answer? Yes, my darling daughter

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) became the first medical society to sue to overturn the newly enacted health care bill, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

  7. sisterrosetta Says:

The traditional sovereignty of the States over the practice of medicine is destroyed by the PPACA.AAPS notes that in scoring the proposal the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) was bound by assumptions imposed by Congress, including the ability to “save” $500 billion in Medicare, and to redirect $50 billion from Social Security. HHS Secretary Sebelius stated that PPACA would reduce the federal deficit, knowing the opposite to be true if these assumptions are unrealistic.AAPS asks the Court to enjoin the government from promulgating or enforcing insurance mandates and require HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Social Security Commissioner Michael Astrue to provide the Court with an accounting of Medicare and Social Security solvency.Congress recognized that PPACA cannot be funded without the insurance mandates, and will become unenforceable without them.Court action is necessary “to preserve individual liberty” and “to prevent PPACA from bankrupting the United States generally and Medicare and Social Security specifically,” AAPS stated.

Obama: Tea party based on eligibility issue

‘There are some folks who just weren’t sure whether I was born in the U.S.’

Obama’s actual response to those who question his eligibility to be president under the Constitution’s requirement that the U.S. president be a “natural born citizen” has been to dispatch both private and tax-funded attorneys to prevent anyone from gaining access to his documentation.

Besides Obama’s actual birth documentation, the still-concealed documentation for him includes

    kindergarten records,

    Punahou school records,

    Occidental College records,

    Columbia University records,

    Columbia thesis,

    Harvard Law School records,

    Harvard Law Review articles,

scholarly articles from the University of Chicago,

    medical records,

his files from his years as an Illinois state senator,

his Illinois State Bar Association records,

    any baptism records, and

    his adoption records.

WND has reported on a multitude of cases that have been brought over the issue of Obama’s eligibility.

Some are by critics who have doubts about whether he was born in Hawaii in 1961 as he has written, and

others are from those who question whether the framers of the Constitution specifically excluded dual citizens

    – Obama’s father was a subject of the British crown at Obama’s birth –

from being eligible for the office.

The issue has prompted a number of state legislatures to work on proposals that would require presidential candidates to submit proof of their eligibility.

And a similar proposal has been introduced in Congress by Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla.

The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states,

“No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”

However, none of the cases filed to date has been successful in reaching the plateau of legal discovery, so that information about Obama’s birth could be obtained.

The White House has not replied to numerous requests for comment.

Because of the dearth of information about Obama’s eligibility, WND founder Joseph Farah has launched a campaign to raise contributions to post billboards asking a simple question:

    “Where’s the birth certificate?”

The campaign followed a petition that has collected more than 495,000 signatures demanding proof of his eligibility, the availability of yard signs raising the question and the production of permanent, detachable magnetic bumper stickers asking the question.

The “certification of live birth” posted online and widely touted as “Obama’s birth certificate” does not in any way prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same “short-form” document is easily obtainable for children not born in Hawaii.

    The true “long-form” birth certificate

    – which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician –

is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny.

Oddly, though congressional hearings were held to determine whether Sen. John McCain was constitutionally eligible to be president as a “natural born citizen,” no controlling legal authority ever sought to verify Obama’s claim to a Hawaiian birth.

(The message appears to be that we the people cannot raise the eligibility question, but Obama can whenever he wants to so long as it works to his advantage. This is very manipulative on his part. Thoughtful people should be asking themselves WHY Obama broaches the subject every so often.)

    Set a better example obama

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black

  24. sisterrosetta Says:

But if he really wants to solve it, he might start by setting a better example. An Associated Press report on the interview shows that, far from working to solve this problem, the president is actively contributing to it: Obama says he believes the Tea Party is built around a “core group” of people who question whether he is a U.S. citizen and believe he is a socialist. But beyond that, Obama tells NBC he recognizes the movement involves “folks who have legitimate concerns” about the national debt and whether the government is taking on too many difficult issues simultaneously. In an interview broadcast Tuesday on NBC’s “Today” show, Obama said he feels “there’s still going to be a group at their core that question my legitimacy.” But he said he didn’t want to paint Tea Party activists “in broad brushes” and he hopes to win over members who have “mainstream, legitimate concerns.” If you read our Thursday column, you will recognize the source of Obama’s claim that extreme or crazy beliefs about him are at the “core” of the tea-party movement.

  25. sisterrosetta Says:

That this position is now being propagated by the president of the United States does not speak well of the man we elected to that office–even though he was born in the United States and definitely isn’t the Antichrist. ‘What’s the Matter With White People?’ That’s the headline of a column by’s Joan Walsh, which, believe it or not, represents an attempt to tone down the liberal left’s racial demonization of ObamaCare opponents. The title is a play on “What’s the Matter With Kansas?,” Thomas Frank’s 2004 book that uses “Kansas” as a metaphor for nonrich whites and argues that by supporting Republicans, they are acting against their economic interests.

PHOENIX (AP) – Arizona House and Senate committees have approved legislation authorizing Gov. Jan Brewer to challenge the federal health care overhaul in court. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved a pair of bills Tuesday on a 4-2 party-line vote. The House Appropriations Committee approved similar bills on an 8-4 party-line vote. The measures next go to the House and Senate floors and could be considered as early as Wednesday. All 53 Republicans in both chambers have signed on as co-sponsors. Democratic Attorney General Terry Goddard has declined to join more than a dozen other states in filing suit to block President Barack Obama’s health overhaul bill. Brewer is a Republican who has asked lawmakers for authority to go around Goddard and sue on the state’s behalf.

  29. sisterrosetta Says:

As reported by the AP, Arizona has said that the new Senate bill is forcing Arizona to rescind cuts it intended to make to Medicaid to balance its budget. As a result, says Arizona, the state will have to pay at least $3.8 billion in additional costs before 2014.It gets worse, from the AP report, “For the seven years starting in 2014, Arizona will have to spend an additional $7.8 billion, AHCCCS Director Tom Betlach said in the report.” That’s money the people of Arizona simply do not have. Arizona, which already faces a $2 billion deficit on a $10 billion budget this year, now must find nearly an additional $1 billion to pay for the Medicaid cost increases. In contrast, if Arizona’s eligibility had not been expanded, its costs over that same seven year period would have only been $1.8 billion. Therefore, thanks to ObamaCare, by 2020, Arizona will be a full $9.8 billion more in the hole than they would have been. This is a state that is literally on the brink of bankruptcy. Only California has a worse financial predicament than Arizona.

America faced a similar turning point a generation ago. During the Jimmy Carter years, the Malthusian, Limits to Growth crowd argued that natural-resource constraints meant Americans would have to lower their economic expectations and accept economic stagnation — or worse. Carter more or less accepted an end to American Exceptionalism, but the 1980 presidential election showed few of his countrymen did. They chose growth economics and the economy grew. Now they face another choice. Preserve wealth, redistribute wealth or create wealth.  Hopefully, President Barack Obama will choose door #3. Investing more in basic research (not just healthcare) would be a start, as would slashing the corporate tax rate. A new consumption tax would be better for growth, but only if it replaced the current wage and investment income taxes. Real entitlement reform would help avoid the Reinhart-Rogoff scenario. The choices made during the next few years could the difference between America in Decline or the American (21st) Century.

Find a broker with direct access to international exchanges.

The one I’m currently using is Interactive Brokers, or IB.

They let you purchase stocks directly from Canadian exchanges without ADRs.

Also, I like that you pay very small commissions in IB, on average it costs $2.50 per trade, where it would cost me 12.99 to buy an ADR in E*trade.

Keep in mind that if you want to buy Canadian stocks directly you first have to convert your US dollars into Canadian currency, and conversion has its own $2 commission, but that is a very small amount comparing to the average broker commissions and slippage on ADRs.

Looking back at E*trade, they do offer a global accounts where you can buy stocks directly from international exchanges, however they do charge very high commissions on those trades and it currently it runs about $20 per trade in local currency.

In the magic garden, some were singing, some were dancing,
while the midnight moon shone brightly overhead.
The stars so gayly glistened and the sphinx in silence listened
to the magician tell of lives that he has led.

Let the bells of freedom ring.
Songs of love to Friday’s king.

Let’s all go to the magician’s birthday.
It’s in the forest but not so far away.
Much to do and so much to say,
while we listen to the oaken orchestra play.

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you.
(Happy birthday – you magician, happy birthday to you.)

And at the dead of midnight, as we watched the dancing firelight,
the air grew cold and seemed to dour the flame.
The fire died, the music faded, filled with fear of death we waited,
for now we knew some evil was to blame.

I challenge you, I challenge you all
for all you own and all you know
and by all the powers of darkness
I will steal what is mine.
Surrender now or face my spite.
I catch you: It may be Friday night,
but did you know this day also number thirteen.

    First I give you fire…
I turn your fire into a sleepy stream.
yes! Now I give you nightmares.
From your horror I’ll create a dream.
You cannot fight me, for I have the sword of Hades.
But one thing you can’t see,
    my answer is simply
    an impenatrable fortress of love.

The fear went as quickly as it came.
The air was clear, the fire burned again.
The flames leapt beyond the glade,
the swan sang to greet the day.
    And then we knew that
