The Thirteenth Station

The Thirteenth Station
Jesus Taken from the Cross

V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee.
R. Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.

The Mystery
Consider the grief of the Mother of God when she received in her arms the body of her divine Son, all pale, covered with blood, and void of life.

The Prayer
O most holy Virgin! obtain for me the grace never more to crucify Jesus afresh by new sins, but by the practice of virtue to keep Him ever alive in me.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father. Jesus Christ Crucified, have mercy on us!

Mary Magdalene — “Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. John 19: 25

The Rending of the Veil — St Matthew’s Gospel chapter 27 verse 51

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.

God Bless you this Holy Week.

Now more than over, Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence.

From Jesus of Nazareth

“Obama says Beck, Limbaugh fuel ‘troublesome’ political climate”

I guess if our “free press” had taken the moral high ground when Bush was being vilified, I could take this a little more seriously.

BTW, could Yahoo have made the faces of Beck and Limbaugh any redder?!

Yes, the MSM counts on us being sheep.

    This is Obama’s stock-in-trade.

Fan the flames and then point your bony little accusatory finger at the other.

It did occur to me that the reason some are looking for “Kiss the guitar player” is because of something in the comments section as opposed to the original post.

I just don’t know what it is exactly.

“Cat People (Putting Out The Fire)”

    See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
    Colder than the moon
    It’s been so long
And I’ve been putting out fire
    With gasoline

    Feel my blood enraged
It’s just the fear of losing you
    Don’t you know my name
    Well, you been so long

    See these eyes so red
    Red like jungle burning bright
    Those who feel me near
Pull the blinds and change their minds
    It’s been so long

    Still this pulsing night
    A plague I call a heartbeat
    Just be still with me
Ya wouldn’t believe what I’ve been thru
    You’ve been so long
    Well it’s been so long
And I’ve been putting out fire
    with gasoline
    putting out fire
    with gasoline

    See these tears so blue
    An ageless heart
    that can never mend
    These tears can never dry
    A judgement made
    can never bend
    See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
    Just be still with me
You wouldn’t believe what I’ve been thru

    You’ve been so long
    Well, it’s been so long
And I’ve been putting out fire
    with gasoline
    putting out fire with gasoline

HH: People are grumpy, Mark Steyn. MS: Yeah, it’s the irrationality, isn’t it? HH: Yup. MS: It’s always the same way, that there’s a great, snarling, irrational mob, or they’re just two year olds throwing a tantrum, as Peter Jennings said a few years back. And it’s not that. The idea that what is happening here is that a huge mass of people are being to coalesce around the idea that this stuff can’t be paid for. No matter how much you tax, no matter how much you borrow, no matter how many businesses you drive into the ground, there will never be enough money to pay for this stuff. And that message, I think, exposes, risks exposing the Democrats running essentially on fraud this November, and that’s dangerous for Barbara Boxer.

Previously, insurers simply filed their increases when the new rates started, and they were rubber-stamped by regulators. But on Thursday, Mr. Murphy denied 235 of the 274 proposed increases. He said he disapproved requests when companies significantly exceeded the region’s medical inflation rate of 5.1 percent, failed to justify why varying rates were paid to different hospitals, and did not forcefully negotiate prices with providers.Insurers have a right to appeal, and rates from the previous year stay in effect in the meantime. Consumers will receive refunds or credits if they have already started paying higher rates.Mr. Murphy said his department estimated that the denials would save consumers – and thus cost insurers – $6 million to $8 million a month.

Lora M. Pellegrini, the president of the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans, called the denials “a very reckless act” and warned that insurers on thin margins might have trouble paying claims. Three of the state’s four largest health insurers reported operating losses last year.Ms. Pellegrini said the timing of the announcement suggested that it was “largely political.” She said Mr. Patrick should focus attention on the primary cause of health care inflation, which she identified as rising medical costs.A Boston University study recently found that hospital costs per Massachusetts resident were 55 percent higher than the national average. An investigation this year by the state attorney general concluded that the pricing leverage exerted by academic medical centers played a major role.”Arbitrary government price controls will not solve the problem and will likely cause unintended harmful consequences,” the state’s largest insurer, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, said in a statement. Ms. Pellegrini warned that government rate regulation would splinter the coalition of stakeholders who have supported the state’s pioneering universal coverage law.”This feels like an unraveling of all that good work,” she said.

As for those moderate and independent voters: the modern Democrat Party has nothing more to offer them. What “moderate” reforms could be applied to a multi-trillion dollar boondoggle, added to an already lethal national debt? No one who allows ObamaCare to survive beyond 2012 can call themselves an “independent.” You won’t be allowed to remain independent of State-controlled medicine. Sixteen thousand new IRS agents will be dropping by your house to explain this in more detail, if you press the issue. If you’re an independent who takes your vote seriously, you must understand by now that ObamaCare’s failures will be addressed with further assaults on your independence, including massive taxes that will only accelerate the erosion of meaningful freedom. Moderate voters pride themselves on considering ideas from all sides of the political spectrum, and choosing wisely between them. When ObamaCare was signed, the political spectrum shifted violently into the infrared. If we still have it wrapped around our throats in 2013, there won’t be any more ideas from the “right” for you to sagely consider. Your choices will be limited to various frequencies of hard-Left statism. Every serious moderate and independent voter is a Republican now… assuming the GOP has the wit and courage to inspire them, rather than pandering to them.

  17. blessedistruth Says:

And so the noose on capital mobility tightens, as very soon the only option US citizens have when it comes to investing their money, will be in government mandated retirement annuities, which will likely be the next step in the capital control escalation, which will culminate with every single free dollar required to be reinvested into the US, likely in the form of purchasing US Treasury emissions such as Treasuries, TIPS and other worthless pieces of paper.  Congratulations bankrupt America – you are now one step closer to a thoroughly non-free market.
