28. (Q) How can this work be developed so that all can do it?

(A) All can already do it. As to the degree of the development, only the law of concentration through subjugation, as we have the law here, as this we illustrate conditions: Water occupies a certain place without changing of form. It always occupies that same place, though it is pliable.

Air may be compressed without changing form, only needing the opportunities of the expression of its flexibility. One is no more flexible than the other, though air can occupy with water, same as we have with individuals in this sphere.

With the subjugation of one of the elements or of the Trinity of the individual, those characters, those powers, those forces, those laws of the other portion of body are brought out into play and only need the opportunity of their self-expression.

29. (Q) Is this work harmful or detrimental to the physical and mental forces of this body?

(A) No. It may be abused as any force, either of the physical, mental, soul or spiritual force of the body. It may be made to become destructive by the misapplication, as we would have in just those elements as we have shown by the changing of form.

Only a very thin veil between sublime and ridiculous, thinner between good and evil, whether applied to the physical, mental, soul or spiritual elements of the physical or material body as is manifested on this plane with its attributes.

The highest attributes of the material body being what is called on this plane, the senses and the body is given the vehicle or mode of expressing the fundamentals or findings of its senses or psychic or soul force is expressed to the mental or physical plane through one of these senses, or made manifested thereby.

The destructive forces may be made to govern or control any or all these senses in the physical.

With the subjugation of one in the material we find some one or all of the others become highly attuned or more sensitive, the same as in the developing of those inclined by the forces, either of the laws being followed by attraction upon by material ability or forces as applied by the universal force in the attraction of other bodies or spheres governing the plane and under the force in which the body takes on sphere, its scope of living.

In this manner the developing of the psychic or soul forces through one of the senses so governed may be developed to good or evil, as is classified in this sphere.

Evil is only evil to him, who thinks it evil or to what sense it has become applied. All is good as used to the developing of any force under which its law applies.

30. (Q) How should this work be used to be the most successful and to do the most good?

(A) As has been applied and under the laws governing force as is shown in just what has been given to this individual body, Edgar Cayce, we are speaking of, as known on this plane, though this has covered eight generations.

We have the forces as applied through that of the healing of physical ailments and that may border on to ailments of the soul and mental and spiritual forces.

Cayce on The Masters and The Great White Brotherhood

There is something else I wanted to touch on, because I was fascinated that you put this in, too. You were talking about the Masters and the Great White Brotherhood. And you said that we were in the process of becoming Masters How did you start going in that direction in that part of this book?

RG: I found it in one of Cayce’s readings when someone asked, “Where do we go when we are perfected?”

 

The reading replied, “Ye may go and be a savior in other worlds, even as He.” When I read that and really thought about it, that tells you the vastness that it all really is.

 

I believe the way I paraphrased it is that I believe the earth is the training ground for future messiahs.

 

So, regardless of whether you are Christian or Jewish, or whatever else you may be, when he said, “All these things that I do, you will do, too,” what Jesus was trying to emphasize was, “I am a picture of your future, a picture of what you will become, and when you become so in harmony with the Infinite, the Infinite becomes a part of you and then, not even death can hinder you.”

 

So we’re all in the process, in essence, of becoming Masters. It may take a hundred or even a thousand lifetimes, but however long it takes, there is a spiritual evolution going on and Edgar Cayce said, “Each soul is as a corpuscle in the body of God.”

 

And in his readings on Jesus he was saying that we are equal to him, meaning Jesus.

 

We are not less than the Masters, they are just more spiritually advanced and their work is to help us and whether it is through some coincidental event, meeting the right person at the right time, or whether it is an intuitive feeling that causes someone not to get on a plane and, then, as it turns out, it was a great intuition because it kept them from being in an accident… we are always in touch with those beings and they are in touch with us.

 

In “Universe of Worlds,” I talked about how we can put ourselves more in alignment with them. And it simply has to do with getting back to nature, taking a half hour each day to go out into the country, to the woods, or if you’re in the city, to go to the park and quietly watch the sunrise or sunset.

 

Most importantly at those times ask that you be more and more in alignment with the Divine and that the Divine assist you. Nobody can help you if you don’t ask for help. It’s not that help isn’t there, it’s that we don’t ask for it.

 

For many of us the prompting comes very quietly. It’s called the voice of intuition. But I think the most beautiful part of it is that we are not traveling through life alone and as soon as we call on God, or Allah, or Yahweh, the quicker the messengers or the Masters can come.

 

I don’t want to confuse people by saying pray to the Masters, instead of God. It’s like: pray to the Source and the Source will send the messengers that are needed. We are all in the process of becoming Masters, even as He. We are evolving to that. And that, I got from Edgar Cayce’s readings.

        “(Q) In relation to the Oneness of all force, explain the popular concept of the Devil, seemingly substantiated in the Bible by many passages of scripture.

        (A) In the beginning, celestial beings. We have first the Son, then the other sons or celestial beings that are given their force and power. Hence that force which rebelled in the unseen forces (or in spirit) that came into activity, was that influence which has been called Satan, the Devil, the Serpent; they are One.

… the Mayan legends tell us, good was overcome by evil’s lure. The biblical statement that “the Sons of God looked upon the Daughters of Men and saw that they were fair; and took them wives of all they chose,” indicates the fall of the well-intended celestial beings, who were only attempting to counter the influences of evil.

This passage is found in Genesis, chapter six, along with the only mention of the powerful mighty beings of ancient times, the Nephilim. These gods of old lost their power as they succumbed to the distractions of self-seeking and rebellion.

Cayce explains that those who pushed their way into matter willfully, not in cooperation with God and Nature, “were called the Sons of the Earth or Sons of Man.” He explains that “the Creative Forces, God, then made the first man — or first God-man.”

This physical being “was the beginning of the Sons of God.”

Cayce continues: “Then those souls who entered through a channel made by God — not by thought, not by desire, not by lust, not by things that separated continually — were the Sons of God, the Daughters of God.”

Implied in Cayce’s readings is that souls were not necessarily trapped in one group or another, but could move between them by using their wills to change their ways.

In today’s world, Cayce warns that there is “only a very thin veil between sublime and ridiculous, thinner between good and evil.” He teaches, as do so many others, that the real judge of an action or thought is the motivation behind it.

If the motivation is self-seeking, self-gratifying, self-exalting, then no matter how good the action or thought may appear, it gives strength to the forces of evil.

He also stretches our understanding by teaching that the “desire to do good and to be good is not man’s problem alone, but to be good FOR SOMETHING, to be good as a purposefulness!

But doing good for Good’s sake; doing good because it brings contentment, it brings harmony, it brings peace, it brings associations that create in the hearts of the associates JOY and HOPE and the LONGING for the greater knowledge of the SOURCE of good” (Cayce’s emphasis).

In closing, Cayce channels this wonderful piece of wisdom: “Love, mercy, and justice eschew evil; and keep thy heart SINGING all the while.”

They’re the hottest tickets in town but they’re not for Jedward or U2 — they’re tickets for the launch of a new book by ‘angel’ writer Lorna Byrne.

Byrne is the woman who sees angels and has been talking to them since she was a child, a gift that means many people here and abroad now regard her as an important spiritual guide.

Her first book, Angels in my Hair, was a phenomenon. It was a number one best-seller in Ireland, shifting over 70,000 copies. Since it was published two years ago it has been translated into 20 languages and has appeared in 47 countries, with sales exceeding half a million copies.

So the interest in her second book is huge. Titled Stairways to Heaven, it is being launched in Ireland on Tuesday), two days before its international launch.

As well as meeting the 300 people who will attend the launch, Byrne will read from her new book and answer questions from the audience. Those who can’t get a ticket can see her on the Late Late Show next Friday. She will be doing a signing in Easons in O’Connell Street in Dublin the following day, followed by signings around the country.
